Formed in 2005 with a belief that work, art and life are meant to be a fun and purposeful journey, Just FAUX the Fun of It is a close partnership of its two owners - Kristen Poleski and Debra Merrill.
About Us
Kristen Poleski is the official fine artist of the Just Faux Fun team. In addition to ongoing training that began from the first time she held a pencil, she has studied murals under Sean Crosby , Pascal Amblard and Patrick Kerwin; clouds with Nicola Vigini; and gilding with Carol Kemmery as well as various other instructors at The Finishing School. Kristen is a native of Clifton, Virginia, and loves spending time with her sons and her menagerie of rescue horses, dogs, cats and other furry critters.
Debra Merrill brings the organizational and business experience to the team having spent 25+ years as an executive in the software consulting world. Debra has always loved experimenting with faux finishes available to the retail consumer market, and is thrilled to have spent the last few years mastering professional grade products and tools. She and her husband Dean are new "empty nesters" who live in Fairfax Station. They love spending weekend time playing with their two border collies and managing a full boarding stable of six horses.
